Swansboro West Civic Association represents a vibrant, diverse community nestled between Hull Street and Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond, Virginia. As part of their efforts to raise awareness and increase engagement, they sought a refreshed brand identity.
Effortless elegance meets accessible warmth.
The capital S is replaced by a thoughtfully crafted swan-like letterform. The rest of the name is set in Upgrade: a friendly, clean typeface. This logo’s strength is its simplicity and readability. “Civic Association” is set in all capitals to reflect themes of authority and trust. Inspired by the craftsman homes and brick capes found throughout Swansboro West, the soft palette employs a trio of green-blues and a complementary set of warm reds.
The Swansboro West Civic Association provides community resources, organizes tree planting, and hosts neighborhood events under the wing of its new brand identity.
Special thank you to Reverend Robin Mines and Denise Payne for helping me put my work out there.
